| Wendy VanVoorhis has raised three children and is now enjoying hearing about their independent lives and looking forward to grandchildren in the near future. She spent 23 years working as a Geriatric nurse before receiving her Funeral Director’s License. Caring for the families needs is an extension of her nursing. Then there are the details of running the business end and of course cleaning and building maintenance. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, going to plays, seeing her children and serves on Mission and Ministry at her church. | ![]() |

Michael W. Lucey was born and raised in Victor and graduated from Victor Central School in 1957. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Geneseo and his Master’s from Nazareth College. Mike taught at Victor Central School for 3 ½ years at Victor High School and 21 years at Eastridge High School in Irondequoit. He left teaching in 1986 and obtained an Associates Degree in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences. Mike worked for two funeral homes before opening Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home in 1992. He enjoys all aspects of the funeral business, enjoys bowling, TV sports, musicals, taking care of the flowers in the summer. Mike has two daughters and seven grandchildren. |
