Biography

VICTOR/GENEVA - Lauren Marie Vassello, 13, passed away on Sat. (Feb. 4, 2012), at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thurs. (Feb. 9), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Fri. (Feb. 10), at the Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, Inc. 301 West Main St., Victor. The family requests everyone to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Sat. (Feb. 11), at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 115 Maple Ave. in Victor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Dollars for Scholars in memory of Lauren Marie Vassello Memorial Scholarship, Victor Senior High School 953 High St. Victor, NY 14564.

Lauren was born Sept. 22, 1998, in Geneva, and was a daughter of Paul Vassello and Stephany (Felice) Baldwin. She was an excellent student enrolled at the Victor Junior High School and was involved in many activities, including the Victor Junior High School Band and Orchestra, cheerleading and playing lacrosse. Lauren loved auto racing and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. She was a very loving person who touched many lives of people around her with her courageous attitude and her remarkable smile that will be remembered by all that knew her. Lauren was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Victor.

She is survived by her mother, Stephany (Christopher) Baldwin of Victor; father, Paul Vassello of Geneva; brothers, Joseph Anthony Felice of Victor, Nicholas (Kara) Vassello of Palmyra and Anthony (Dominique DuPont) Vassello of Geneva; sisters, Courtney and Taylor Baldwin of Farmington; maternal grandmother, Amy Felice of Geneva; Godparents, Joseph and Nancy Palmisano of Davidson, NC, and several aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
Lauren was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Anthony ‘Junior’ Felice; paternal grandmother, Madeline Krossber and paternal grandfather, John Vassello.
